Thuja plicata "Atrovirens"

This is a worthy group of easy-to-grow conifers which enjoy being in deep, moist, but well-drained soil in sun or part shade. The two species detailed here make excellent hedging/screening material and can also be used planted singly as stand-alone specimens or in groups. 
'Atrovirens'is faster-growing and left to its own devices would develop in to a large specimen. Its aromatic spray-like foliage is mid-green and slightly drooping.
