Sciadopytis verticillata

A slow-growing, hardy evergreen conifer which in spite of it's common name is not a true pine. A beautiful, unique tree with glossy, dark-green, needle like leaves grouped in whorls of 15 to 30 and arranged like the spokes of an umbrella. Small, scaley cones are produced and the bark becomes flakey.
