Prunus "Amanogawa"

This grows as a narrowly columnar tree or shrub with very erect branches and is often called the 'Flagpole cherry'. The young leaves are tinted bronze turning to mid-green as they mature and they take on lovely autumn colours before they fall. Masses of fragrant semi-double shell-pink flowers appear mid to late spring.
