This is one of the Glauca Group of Colorado spruces which are collectively known as the blue spruces. 'Koster' is a slow-growing conical evergreen which achieves a small to medium size. Its principle attraction is the lovely silver-blue of its foliage and it is often grown as a free standing specimen on lawns. It will do best in a sheltered position in soil which is not too dry or of a shallow, chalky nature or too acidic. Another variant is 'Hoopsii' and both plants are highly desirable and attract a premium price. We would be pleased to quote for your requirements.
