Phoenix canariensis

A palm which has it's origin in the Canary Islands. Characterised by its' long, arching, bright green pinnate leaves originating from the central trunk. Can withstand the unfavourable conditions of coastal regions - saltiness, wind, drought and light sandy soils - but might not survive penetrating frosts.
