Phillyrea angustifolia

This hardy, evergreen shrub is grown for its' lovely foliage effect which manifests itself in the form of mid-green olive-like leaves. Tiny, fragrant, greenish-white flowers are carried in spring and early summer and these are sometimes followed by small, blue-black fruits. Will grown in virtually any soil type in sun or part-shade and is tolerant of maritime situations. It responds to clipping and can be shaped.
