Metasequoia glyptostroboides (Dawn redwood)

A deciduous conifer which is distinguishable by it's orangey-brown bark which flakes off. Has a conical habit and in winter without it's leaves forms the geometric shape of a triangle. The leaves are bright green before they turn bronze and drop off in autumn. Requires a rich moist soil as long as it is well drained. 
Can grow up to 30m high.
