Malus "John Downie"

A fully hardy deciduous genus of trees and shrubs grown for their spring blossom and ornamental fruits which often last well into winter. They like to be planted in good, fertile soil and benefit from an annual organic mulch. "John Downie" is the most vigorous and develops a broad crown. Glossy dark green leaves, pink flowers and large red fruit.
