Magnolia grandiflora "Gallisoniensis"

This is the classic evergreen Magnolia. The large, glossy, leathery mid to dark-green leaves have rust-coloured felty undersides. Showy, fragrant, cream-white tulip-shaped flowers can appear July-September. It will do best in a sheltered sunny position in loamy soil which is not too limy.
