Leptospermum scoparium

A charming evergreen shrub with dense aromatic, narrow dark-green leaves. It bears a profusion of small, star-shaped flowers in early summer. Requires a sunny, sheltered position, (ideally with the protection of a south-facing wall) and well-drained soil. Grow also a cool conservatory subject. 'Alba' has white flowers, 'Pink Queen' has pinkish-red flowers and 'Red Damask' has double-red flowers and also reddish-tinted foliage.
