Juniperus scopulorum "Skyrocket"

This juniper is a good substitute for those locations where Cupressus sempervirens (Mediterranean) cypress) would not be hardy enough. Has reddish-brown peeling bark on the trunk and branches. The aromatic blue-grey foliage is scale-like, fleshy and round, blue fruits are produced. It is one of the narrowest-growing conifers. Prostrate/ground cover junipers are available to special order.
