Euonymus alatus "Compactus"

This fully hardy deciduous species has branched that develop eye-catching corky wings. A slow-growing subject whose dark green leaves will turn an amazing, vibrant scarlet hue in the autumn. Tiny early summer flowers are followed by purple fruits which house persistent red seeds. 
"Compactus" has less pronounced wings on the shoots and develops into a more compact and rounded form than the species.
