Euonymus alatus

This fully hardy deciduous species has branched that develop eye-catching corky wings. A slow-growing subject whose dark green leaves will turn an amazing, vibrant scarlet hue in the autumn. Tiny early summer flowers are followed by purple fruits which house persistent red seeds.
