Diospyros Kaki

This attractive hardy, deciduous tree requires fertile, well-drained soil in a sunny position, ideally against a south or west-facing wall. The mid to dark-green leaves turn orange-red and purple in autumn. The yellowish-white flowers are usually followed by edible yellow or orange fruits which are an acquired taste and are best consumed when over ripe.
