Cornus controversa "Variegata"

 
 
The branches of this fully hardy deciduous tree/shrub form layers and when it is fully developed it is quite spectacular. The mid-green leaves, which have creamy-white margins turn yellow in the autumn. Clusters of white flowers are freely borne in June/July. Will grow in most fertile soils in a sunny sheltered position but if the soil is on the dry side plant in half-shade.
