Cercidiphyllum japonicum

This deciduous subject will make an elegant medium-sized addition to a woodland or garden setting. Requires good, moisture-retentive sold and is best sited where it will not be struck by early morning frost and cold winds. The young heart-shaped leaves emerge tinted red, become rich green and before fall exude a rich aroma of burnt sugar and take on striking red and yellow colouring.
