Astelia nervosa "Silver Sword"

This evergreen, clump-forming perennial is often chosen as a neater and more compact alternative to Phormium. The handsome, arching leaves are striped sage-green and silver. The plant will be happy in sun or part shade and thrive in most garden soils as long as the drainage is good. 
May need some protection in hard winters.
